First Tee of North Florida is proud to offer PGA Jr. League Golf! Playing as a team, making new friends, having fun, and competing together are just a few reasons why children enjoy team sports. PGA Jr. League has created a way for its participants to have all of those experiences through the game of golf. Thanks to the PGA TOUR and The PLAYERS Championship, participants from First Tee of North Florida have the opportunity to experience PGA Jr. League like never before.

Who can play PGA Jr. League?
PGA Jr. League is open to both boys and girls ages 9-17. Participants must have a 2020 First Tee of North Florida Jr. Membership and be Par level or above. There are two age divisions, 13 & under (13U) which is for children ages 9-13 and the 17 and under age division (17U) is for ages 14-17. Age divisions are based on the players age on or before July 31, 2020.

Where are the First Tee of North Florida teams located?
Brentwood Golf Course (Jacksonville) and St. Johns Golf Club (Elkton) will be the home courses for our PGA Jr. League teams. Each course will host one 13U and one 17U team.

When is PGA Jr. League played?
Each team will have one practice and one game per week. Practice will take place on a weekday evening and games are played on weekend afternoons. Practice will begin in the Spring with games being played in two primary seasons, Summer and Fall. After competing in the Summer Season, competitive golfers have the opportunity to be selected for their league’s All-Star team.

How is PGA Jr. League played?
During the course of one PGA Jr. League game, teams play four 9-hole matches in a two-person scramble format, reinforcing the team concept and creating a nurturing environment for learning the game. Coaches can substitute players every three holes so that all of the golfers on each team can participate.

How much does PGA Jr. League cost?
While most PGA Jr. League teams in our area cost $300-$400 per player, thanks to the PGA TOUR and The PLAYERS Championship, the cost for our participants is just $90! As with all programs offered by First Tee of North Florida, scholarships are available upon request. The maximum scholarship offered for this opportunity will be 50% ($45).

How do we register?
Use the button below to access our class registration website. Once there, find “2020 PGA Jr. League” where you will pay for your child to be on one of the four teams listed above. Within 1-3 business days, a chapter staff member will email you the link to the PGA Jr. League website and a unique access code that will be used to create a player profile.
